Common Name: Red Roobis Tea Latin Name: Aspalathus Linearis Description: Consumed in southern Africa for centuries, Rooibos pronounced "roy-ee-boss," is an Afrikaans word for "red bush." & has become a beloved drink around the world. Its closest cousin is the Honeybush. It mostly has a sweet woody note to it. To make the perfect cup, boil filtered water. Rooibos Tea leaves are tiny, so we use a fine-mesh strainer, linen filters, or French press to make brewing easier. Measure around 6 teaspoons of herbs into a teapot. Pour boiling water over, cover for 5-7 minutes & serve! You can add honey or milk for a soothing relaxing drink. You can also make a refreshing Rooibos iced tea for hot summer days by letting tea sit in a fridge for a 12 hours or using a hot-brewed infusion allowed to cool & adding ice.
